Brachiterapia elettronica

INTRABEAM^® di ZEISS dimostra la propria versatilità anche nel trattamento del cancro della pelle. In particolare per il trattamento del cancro della pelle non-melanoma, l'irradiazione in kilovolt rappresenta un'importante opzione terapeutica, adatta anche per i pazienti con un elevato rischio operatorio.¹ Uno studio in prospettiva ha dimostrato che l’efficacia della radioterapia intraoperatoria nella gestione del cancro della pelle non melanoma è pari a quella delle tecniche radioterapiche convenzionali.² I ben noti vantaggi di INTRABEAM^® di ZEISS, vale a dire radiazione mirata, bassi requisiti di schermatura e prezzo adeguato, valgono anche per il trattamento del cancro della pelle non melanoma.³

Fasi di trattamento

Fase 1 Valutazione di dimensioni, profondità ed esatta posizione del tumore per scegliere il marcatore di posizione corretto.

Fase 2 Fissaggio del marcatore di posizione e documentazione della posizione corretta.

Fase 3 Posizionamento dell'applicatore nel marcatore di posizione.

Fase 4 Controllo e regolazione della posizione finale dell'applicatore.

Fase 5 Esecuzione della brachiterapia elettronica.

Fase 6 Recupero della pelle dopo il trattamento.
